Written 2014 I think? BNB Season Looming on the Sunny Horizon I look up my bnb listing online and compare my prices to others on island, and I see I am pretty much in the middle. So I could charge more, but for some reason this raises a guilty feeling. I spent at least $50 per weekend on food, and I hire someone to clean for another $50 each time. So already I have spent $100 before we even get started. Then the company takes their cut as well so now I am down $108. At the present rate I will take in $250 total, minus $108 - sheesh! I am giving it away. I make the best scones and I know my place is cleaner than a 5 star hotel, and the view is breathtaking and we are across the street from the beach! I mean, come on. How much would I pay for my own suite in these surroundings? I probably would not balk at $150 per night. Currently I was listed for $129. I moved it up to $136 and it still makes me nervous. I have one reservation for the end of May and he will pay the $129, of course...

2014 (?) Feeling so poopy lately. Yes, poopy. Cannot get motivated to do anything, no interest, no spark. I just feel so tired and drained and for no reason. It's April and there is sun part of the day and still I just sit. I started a little today outside but got sidetracked by tax problems. I have plants to plant, and to move, and a fence to build, and a friend coming tomorrow and even that is not motivating me to move. And my cello. I cannot seem to pick it up. My dog is in season and she is feeling a little down too I think. Or at least she is very needy. I am needy too but I have no one to go to when I feel needy. I am very very depressed and I do not have any ideas about who to call or who would give a shit. Is this just me moving and feeling lonely now? But I was lonely in New West too. I had people to talk to at work, but I really didn't have many close friends. I need a close friend here. Bill is nice but a man. Carol is nice but we are not that close. Jeannie is aweso...

2015 Projects, Projects, Projects I cannot stop doing projects! I was in this house one year, moaning about the kitchen and feeling cramped so I decided to do a reno. Take down some walks in the dining and living rooms, open up and expand the kitchen, add a pantry/laundry/dog area, add a deck. Sure why not go crazy and do it all at once! Why not indeed? Nice house, right?

Gardening 2014 Spring is here and it's only April. We (meaning Todd) (PIC) are digging in the vegetable garden area to make dog-paw shaped raised beds. This will amuse me to no end. We (meaning Todd again) are using split cedar rails pounded into the ground 2 1/2 feet, they will be strapped together (by Todd, of course) and then filled with good soil and my own compost. This will be so fun to plant in - and hopefully my sweet dog will not be jumping up into those beds. She regularly runs thru the garlic plants, and I made a little cheesy fence to save the lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower I planted on Friday. So far she has not run thru there, so it may be working. Cross fingers. (PICS) The magnolia is about to blossom - big purple buds on there now. ( SEE PIC) . Tulips are everywhere (SEE PIC). Daffodils are everywhere ( SEE PIC) . I also planted a couple new rhubarb plants because we can use all the fruit in making pies for the Fall Fair. Oh, yes, I...

2014 SUMMER My Angels are Blue and Green I saw Joanne today and she told me I have two angels with me right now - one is of blue light and one is of green light. I asked the angels to help me find my "tribe" and then I ran into Bill and Lorcan! I do love these two. I met Bill's daughter Shauna and her husband Ron from Winnipeg at the Lavender Festival. I have been resonating to the colors blue and green lately, so I'm not that surprised. Joanne thinks I am on the verge of something that will help other people in some way. I used to fantasize about running a retreat centre of some sort. Maybe it will be that but just in a smaller way than I used to think. I have 2 extra beds and the foldout couch so I can accommodate 4-6 extra people here (if they can sleep in a bed togheter obviously.) We could put a tent outside also. Painting? Yoga? Play-making? Fairy camps for grown ups? Singing? Life skills? Musical weekends? YES - musical weekends would be awesome. Maybe a drummi...
